Programming Procedure #119
- Turn the ignition to the ON position (do not crank engine.)
- Locate the VAC Programming Connector adjacent to the remote keyless entry module in the trunk. It is a green plastic connector with one black/white wire leading up to it. The connector is not plugged into anything. You may have to pull back trim to access it.
- The programming connector has one terminal. Ground this terminal to the trunk hatch or antenna. The door locks will automatically cycle (lock and unlock) to indicate that programming mode has begun. Make sure the programming connector stays grounded during the procedure.
- Press UNLOCK on the remote once. The door locks will cycle once to indicate that remote has been programmed and all existing saved remotes are erased from memory.
- If only one remote is to work on the vehicle then press UNLOCK again on the same remote. The door locks will cycle to confirm. Skip to step 5.
- If a second remote is to be programmed, press the UNLOCK button on the second remote once. The door locks will cycle to confirm.
- Remove jumper wire you used to ground the keyless entry programming connector.
